Description

There’s a new dining spot near Illinois 173, and the owner’s name is sure to be familiar.  This will be the ideal place to go for an upscale dining experience at affordable prices

Olive Kitchen and Cocktails is located at 1001 W. Lane Road, in Machesney Park and is managed by Mike Muzzarelli. Muzzarelli is also the food and beverage director at the Radisson Hotel & Conference Center.

High-profile businessman Sunil Puri, president of First Rockford Group, owns Olive, this is his first dining venture outside of the Radisson, which houses the Forest City Pub.

Olive’s restaurant features mostly American fare, like sandwiches, homemade soups, salads, pasta dishes and steaks. Muzzarelli said a special breaded olive appetizer, club sandwich and Friday night prime rib special have been the most popular dishes so far.

In addition, the restaurant does have a banquet room that can hold about 90 people, so Muzzarelli said Olive will be available for small parties and can provide catering.  Plus there are 3 big screen TVs in HD for your viewing pleasure along with FREE wifi.

Our friendly, welcoming staff invite you and your family to come join us for a bite to eat during lunch and dinner.

Traditional rockford restaurants will always offer us that pleasant alternative to eating at home, ordering take out from our local rockford fast food dispenser or visiting their drive through or small busy caf'tyle rockford restaurants. Not forgetting those special occasions or romantic rendezvous, these still command the need for that quiet stylish quality rockford restaurant where we know that the food wine and service will always be excellent and the experience wonderful and charming.

Tip for eating out healthy in Rockford, Illinois:
Think about what you're drinking with your meal. By not ordering an alcoholic beverage, you've saved yourself a considerable number of calories. Try sipping iced tea sweetened with a noncaloric sweetener, a diet soft drink, or water with lemon. You'll be glad you did when you consider the calorie savings.

Even though these places are vastly out numbered by the rockford fast food industry, we still enjoy sitting down in the nice comfortable and pleasant surroundings of a rockford restaurant and dining on good quality food at a leisurely pace, leaving behind the hustle and bustle of daily life and the rockford fast food rush.

Cooking at home has become less of a choice and more of a chore. With the large amount of ready meals available, the option of spending time in the kitchen becomes less and less appealing. People are spending more of their time and money in the world of fast foods and rockford restaurants. Although some believe this to be a bad thing it has fuelled a new market in available meals that are only a phone call away. As long as the health and hygiene departments vet these establishments and our choices are varied, of good quality and healthy their use can be a good alternative to cooking our own meals.
